Topic 2 - Methods and Meaning - Reflection

 
This week really challenged me in terms of how I have previously worked in my photography. I was working unaware there was a methodology or context to my work. I knew what I wanted to photograph and the methods that I was using to take the photograph, but I wouldn’t have put them together previously.

Looking at my work I’ve not recently put together a group of work in a conscious context. I would go to motorsport events knowing the key drivers or cars at the event that I was interested in photographing but wouldn’t have a context for it maybe other than it might have been the only time the car/driver is in the country or not going to be seen often due to reliability of the vehicle.

I am endeavouring to understand my methodology in my work and be able to bring context and meaning to it. This is something that I think I will need to come back to as I progress thought the course.
